Bees in my Bonnet

While the research for the navy under the Stuarts is ongoing, I also need to do a bit on the early 1820,s for the follow on from Bubbles in the Cauldron. I have a good start but need to take Fergus and Fiona back up through the Great Glen to the Dornoch Firth. I’ve got them past Loch Lomond but someone is looking for them and I had an idea of taking them down the Caledonian Canal but it wasn’t finished for two more years. Anyway, I noticed Birlinn had published a book by a chap called Cameron and will buy that. It seems full of information about the building of the canal and hopefully Fergus can sneak down in a barge that brought materials up the staircase of locks. I want to contact Birlinn anyway because they seem the obvious ones to approach about the series on the drover. In addition to all this I try to send an entry to Writers Forum each month and get a crit. from Lorraine Mace. I’ve had a second and a third for short story and several highly recommended. I’m hoping that, in time, I’ll have enough for another book like Bees in my Bonnet. In fact that’s I need to stir as the Writers Group submissions need to be in by Christmas Eve.
