Romance

My wife tells me there is always a bit of People’s Friend in every story I tell – well, where would we be without romance? It’s in every Western from Hopalong Cassidy, if you can remember him, to John Wayne and even Clint Eastwood. Tom Sawyer had Becky and it raised its head in Shrek and even Bourne had its share. I’m not out on a limb after all.

This came out of a discussion about whether Miss Kirkhope and Galahad in A Land Fit for Heroes would become an item. Maybe the next book will cover that, but then again, maybe it won’t. They’ll both be in Cairndhu as the story moves into the thirties and the Spanish Civil War.
