The Snow Queen
I wrote The Spirit of Skiing for my wife, who did not have the wonderful experience the adverts suggest skiing to be. It is one of the short stories in Bees in My Bonnet, which has little to do with bees but is a collection of stories I wrote over a period of years, stories which were inspired by ordinary life, the kind of stories my Irish granny would have enjoyed.
