More McPherson

Australia, McPherson, drovers – People think of theold drovers as living in general poverty but that wasn’t the case. Old McPherson, the drover I mentioned, could take a good dram when he was droving. Who can blame him travelling through the heather soaked to the skin and in shivering misery. However, he bought a pub in Glasgow on the road going East, Alexandra Parade way and never touched another drop. As I wrote, his daughter had a model farm called Moidart near Sydney, if I remember correctly. How she got there is another story.
