The Giant Within

The book I want to write before I die is about The Giant Within all of us. It’s a calm giant, easily restrained by social convention or inhibition or even lack of self esteem. This giant wont help you grow rich in money or help you influence and control other people, it’s a giant that sees the glory in the sunset, the grandeur in the clouds, the colour in the flowers, hears the birds and the whisper of the trees. If the trees don’t whisper to you – you’re not listening. I want to write about that giant because I’ve seen it in so many ordinary people and I suppose that’s what drove me to write about the teacher in A Land Fit for Heroes. I don’t care if nobody buys it, I’ve paid my respect to the selflessness of teachers.
