Five Shilling Rebellion

I’ve got to give a talk on the Five Shilling Rebellion in South Africa in 1914 to Probus in a week’s time. The talk isn’t a problem, It’s a kind of roll up of the research for King and Kaiser and it’s soon to follow sequel, Shadows in the Veldt. It’s getting good maps to go with the talk that’s causing a problem. I’ve managed to get a 1914 map of South Africa that shows all the little bits and pieces, Stellaland and Griqualand West etc., but getting nice maps for Rustenburg and Pretoria isn’t so easy. Still, I may be a rambling wreck from Glasgow Tech but I’m a helluva ‘n engineer, so I’ll manage somehow.
