St Andrews

My wife had two maiden ‘aunts’ who kept a small private hotel in St Andrews and we spent two or three holidays there. A damp, driech place but with golf courses. I played them all, the Old Course, the New Course and whatever other courses there were. It wasn’t overly expensive for a round in those days but those wee bushes reached out and grabbed your ball and hid it away and that made it expensive.
